Riding up through the keys as the sun was rising, then across Florida on the Tamiami trail was a very fine trip. The trail brought back many memories of me & mom on that trail when I was just a little kid. I'd turn sidewise in the car looking for alligators in the canal until I'd almost get car sick & have to quit. On this ride I saw hundreds of them, all shapes & sizes, & got this picture of one at a visitor center about half way across the glades.
Arrived in Sarasota before dark but a little later than hoped for. Was very tired & went sound asleep very quickly after a snow crab dinner at a local restaurant. Missed my walk yesterday but will certainly do so today. I'm really looking forward to seeing sister Barbara & family later on today. Can't wait to see my nephew play baseball. Everyone says he's gonna be a star!
