My home for now is Twin Lakes campground on Lake Hartwell, SC, near Pendleton. I set a new record yesterday for the amount of groceries I carried on the scooter. It was hilarious & I should have taken a picture.
It is so good to be here & have the brothers, Vic & Phillip, hanging out. We laugh a lot, talk a lot & even take a sip now & then. The place is beautiful & very quiet, with an occasional boat passing by. Weather wise it couldn't be better - sunny & cool.
The trip down was uneventful & I even listened to Willie sing "On the Road Again" twice I was so happy to be on the road again. The rig performed well, as always, with only one minor spill in a storage bin to clean up (it was a leaky bottle of grenadine that made a red, sticky mess.
The weight of the move has lifted, now all I have to do is find things that I loaded, but I figure I have many months to organize my little home as I want it. The pictures are out, bed is comfy and I'm thoroughly enjoying be able to sleep well again. It had been quite a while since a good nights sleep.
My high school reunion is August 14 & I'm already hearing from some of my classmates. The internet is already making this event unique from all the others. Reconnecting with folks is fun & very satisfying.
Just remembered that I forgot to put out the guest book & have already had several visitors: niece Rachel & friend, nephew Mason, Helen, Lisa, Vic & Phlip & friend.

We took the first pic of the brothers & you can see how short I appear to be next to them. So I insisted we take another one with me standing on a stump. Much better! The fun continues...
